Earlier this week, I was kidnapped by my friends and whisked me away straight from work. I hate last minute trips and I would gladly sue them for this but what the hell, I was dropping hints at me leaving for good so I think it was a nice gesture.

Anyway, this is me being fabulously kidnapped.

I have to say that I like these pants riding higher than usual. Makes me look slimmer and taller so people take note!

I am wearing Dean and Kent Shirt (???), Maldita Pants, Fossil Watch, LV Bag and my fave for now white Sueño Espadrilles.

Every kidnapped person would always be punished this was mine.

As if this trip wasn’t enough, I went back for a second round.

This time, I didn’t get to buy anything. I am trying to remember why but I am placing my bets on “I was broke”.

The things I would do for a cup of Starbucks, though.

One more photo after the jump…

Channeling Celine Dion

All by myself for a good day. I went to Miri, Malaysia  alone just for shits and giggles.

Doing a little adventure on my own is a little empowering and pathetic sad at the same time. I didn’t have any appointments for a facial then as it was in the middle of the month and definitely nothing in my business itinerary. Not even one thing in my shopping list so I was walking around like a headless chicken then.

So here I am on my own seeking something to do.

Rounding Off

Finally, noh? I know it took me a while to end this string of posts and I haven’t been posting lately but I have a very valid reason and I will explain it to u some other time. Meanwhile, I guess this just goes to show that somehow in this meek existence of mine…I still have a life.

Anywhooo, I am finally rounding this trip up with something totally predictable…my shopping spree.

Well, not exactly a shopping spree because trust me, I practiced restraint in this. I only allowed myself to buy stuff for like a whopping six hours for this trip, on the second time that I went back to KK,  just so that I won’t buy too much.

Too much, of course, is subjective.

I have been thinking of how I will be able to get all these things to be shown to u in an orderly manner but I really cannot remember which ones I bought first so I thought that I would just do them by store that I went to.

Let’s look at my shopping bag…unless u are my mum…in which case, u should stay away!!!

Rendang Rendang By The Seashore

I have always wondered why my friend never brought me to the truly local places in KK and his reply was…

“U don’t look like u are the person who would go to places like that.”

I gave him a look of disgust because that is so not me. I don’t know what he meant by that and I don’t know what look I should have to be able to fit in to local places, as I wished.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should go for the “local theft boy” look the next time I visit…then again, my wardrobe is just so limited. Sigh…

Anyway, so on the last night before I flew off back to Brunei, we decided to go to this local quaint inside the Jesselton Point called Restoran Asli Indonesia. The look of the whole Jesselton Point is very local, at least to me. Reminds me of the night markets here in Brunei. I think they call it “padang”.

Back to Old Town

After my shopping frenzy in Warisan Square, Suria Sabah and 1Borneo, I was ready to take a break somewhere. It was late at this time and all I had was a hand full of shopping bags and an occasionally empty stomach.

My friend and I went to a few restaurants but they were mostly full so walking around we decided to go just have dinner in Old Townagain.

With my aching feet, I needed to take a break and pig out a little bit. From my first time in a different branch, I know that I will be extra happy with my break from retail therapy.

Half Day Shopping Frenzy

As I’ve mentioned, here I am continuing on with my updates on my KK trip. I know it is more than a month back and trust me, it’s been hard just trying to recall everything. Browsing through photos from my dusty hard drive has been a real test.

Then again, I would do anything for u. U know that, right?

Anyway, I can’t remember much but I did go on a little shopping frenzy when I was there. I may have only been in KK for three days but I only had time to shop, if u sum it all up, only for a few hours…around six hours the most.

It didn’t stop me from helping boost the Malaysian economy, though.

Find out where I’ve lurked after the jump…

Coping The Way I Know Best

I know that I should be grieving but I’ve said it in the numerous shout outs in this blog, writing has been really therapeutic for me. It calms me down, helps me reminisce plus it keeps me at home instead of searching for something to spend on. So excuse me while I continue on with how I cope best.

Oh btw, I am referring to blogging although what I will write about is a very close second.

So here I am fulfilling my wish of shopping until my credit card cries foul for this trip and I am doing just that.

First thing I saw when I walked in Centre Point Sabah
was a mob of adoring fans were a lot of people.

Knowing full well that I hate it when there’s a crowd and people keep bumping into me, my friend (and most of the time, my conscience and financial adviser) brought me straight to Palm Square at the fourth floor.

The Closest I Could Get To Italy

I hope that is not true, though. But for now this will do.

The moment I arrived in Kota Kinabalu, I immediately had to fill my hungry tummy with something good, still with the same friend, he brought me to Little Italy.

My friend tells me he frequents this place a lot and when I got back, people here are asking me if I passed by here. Must be something good and it did not disappoint.

U know the drill, I show u the photos of the place then I show u what I ate.

Predictable I know. Next time I will rate the place according to how good-looking the wait staff are.

Round Two

Here I am now talking about my second round for my trip to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia where I spent the last day of December up until a day after New Year’s. I just knew that I needed to have a different scenery for the holidays since everyone seems to be flying off somewhere while I was stuck at home.

Besides, I have never really spent New Year’s in another place other than in Brunei and the Philippines. Plus I am always with my family and I want to experience spending New Year’s Eve outside of that bubble. U know, like in a bar or in some party like most people my age do.

It is a little difficult to do that if in ur mum’s eyes, u are always the little prince. Breastfeeding is unnecessary though.

Oh and this time, I am shopping!!! Weeee…

Let the games begin!!!

Sidenote: Anyone who said that black is slimming, this photo would just crush that notion. I look like a plump elf in this shot, but this is the only shot that has my whole body. Sigh!!! L
